My Mom says she remembers Persil laundry detergent when she was a kid in Scotland in the 1940s. It is available in the U.S. now and I LOVE it - it is super concentrated and smells great - yay British laundry products! Try some!

A friend gave me a mother culture of the "champagne" of kombucha tea -the Jun SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast).  Made with green tea and honey as opposed to the usual black tea & sugar, it is light and clear and absolutely delicious.

I wasn't getting many eggs for a few days this week, and that's when I discovered 2 dozen the girls had laid and buried in the straw...those crafty hens!
