A Jehovah's Witness named Katie visited my farm on Sunday, gave me this flyer (which has really weird imagery - look at the scene from The Birds in the lower right corner) and invited me to a convention in Saginaw. She was very young, maybe 17, and said she was a volunteer for the church. I asked her what her favorite thing about the church was, and she said that her religion "wasn't hypocritical, like all the others." I asked her, in a kind way, where her church stood on gay people, and she shook her head and said that it is "against the bible, so…you know." Oh Katie, where do I begin?
