Instinct is a powerful thing in all creatures, and Buffy's broody behavior has been going on for over a month now. While it won't harm her, it can be unhealthy - she gets little exercise or sun, and her status in the flock is at the very bottom now because of her lack of socializing with them. Also, when hens get broody, they completely stop laying eggs. Much like distracting an upset child, you can try changing their scenery - I take her out several times per week and carry her to some distant part of the farm, to force her to walk and forage. Crazy chicken!
