more textiles and kids books
Super weird/cool baby quilt
The motif is of animals on a merry-go-round, whose shadows appear to be different creatures
Goat with pig shadow
Terrifying
More $0.10 kids books - this one is from the U.K., beautifully illustrated about a mouse and a wren
This one is great, with really psychedelic illustrations - subject matter is a bicyclist who falls into a magical world and becomes covered in flowers
This one is about a messy mouse

notes: lots of quiche recipes
I am always hunting for vintage vegetarian cook books, here's one from 1980 - the handwritten note at the top of the cover is the name of this post. Predictable 70s era heavy, delicious recipes and sweet spacey illustrations of kneading bread and vegetables. I think food processors were fairly new at that time.

the poltergeist
I've experienced a lot of "poltergeist" activity at this farm over the years, witnessed by both myself and friends. In the past few weeks, I come into my kitchen in the morning to find one of the lower drawers in the old kitchen built-in hutch open. These drawers are sticky and are hard for a human to open, so I don't believe the pets are capable of pushing or pulling it open. It contains a couple of candlesticks, candles, and a few place mats. They are noisy drawers when opening so I feel like I would hear it.
I cannot explain it.

Ms. Sugar
Great thrifting in Cadillac, Michigan today. This weird garment bag was $1.99
The prettiest dress, with all my favorite details: neck tie, ruffled hem, great print. Dresses were 75% off today, so it was $2.00
Could it have a better tag?
Everybody should be wearing a love t-shirt. On the $0.49 rack
Two beautiful children's books - the ABC book is from 1964 and has beautiful color photographs, discarded from Manton Michigan Schools. The second is from 1962 and is a collection of International folk tales, in which rabbits seem to feature prominently. They were $0.10 each
A few yards of nice cotton fabric with a turtle eating a green daisy motif $1.00
