One of the local legends of Summit City is a train wreck that took place near my farm in 1913. I heard about it at the Kingsley Historical Society, and I came across these photographs of it amongst the fascinating items the Dean family gave me last week. My favorite is the lower left shot, with all of the people posed on the wreck.
