Peonies sprouting up through the soil - I am so happy to see this, as I had to move all of the peonies down to the edge of the hen yard and away from all the construction around the Boss Mouse barn last fall. I moved them in October, so was worried they wouldn't make it through the winter, but here they are.

yah they are hardy! i've always heard 'don't move peonies, they don't like it' but I've move my patches a couple times and they come right back. I think they are pretty unkillable
