the Weather

My friend Eric Daigh (www.daigh.com) installed an art piece entitled 'The Weather' at my house - a computer screen that displays whatever Eric chooses...images, abstracts, text and video, just like the weather, you can't really predict it.  It is endlessly interesting and I love the whole premise of it.  It receives it's content directly from Eric's server, and has a lock on the back so not to be tampered with.

This is a picture of Emma, the newest barn cat, after a trip to the vet last week.  She had a bad bite wound on her back end (as you can see) and while she was being treated for that, the vet shaved off the matted fur on her back in a stylish reverse mohawk.  She was on antibiotics for a week, and is now completely recovered.  One of the other barn cats was surely the attacker, but they seem to have sorted it out now, as they all lie around the lawn together, eat together, etc.  Emma is a really sweet cat and I'm so glad she is all better

I am always checking out what's new in the cheese world, and the other day I discovered there are a bunch of high-quality mini cheese on the market!   Mini brie from France, three tiny little balls of fresh mozzarella, some delicious aged cheddar from Australia, real Jarlsberg Swiss and a mini chunk of Parmesan from Italy.  What?
