I called up my neighbor Mark, who gave me the fertile eggs that Buffy hatched back in July. A few of the chicks are growing into breeds that I don't recognize, so I called to ask him what he thought they might be. There are two grey ones that he confirmed are Barred Plymouth Rocks - a beautiful heritage breed (pic above). Some of the others are mixed, and it's still too early to tell which ones are hens or roosters.
